Marshall Teitelbaum, M.D., psychiatrist in Jupiter, Florida

"I work hard to know my patients. That's where good care starts."

For over 30 years, Dr. Marshall Teitelbaum has provided psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults in the South Florida community. He is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and trained in adult psychiatry. That combined focus, along with decades of dedicated practice, is the foundation of everything we do. Most people call him Dr. T.

Dr. T provides comprehensive psychiatric care, not just medication management. He conducts thorough assessments to develop tailored treatment plans that may include lifestyle adjustments (exercise, self-care, mindfulness), health screens/labwork, and recommendations for psychotherapy and/or psychological testing. While expert in pharmacology, he focuses on overall wellness and collaborates closely with therapists, recognizing that medication is not always the only or appropriate course of action.

Areas of Specialty

Mood Disorders

Depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood conditions affect how you feel every day. We provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and treatment management, including with the use of psychopharmacology when appropriate, to help you find stability.

Anxiety and OCD

Generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, phobias, and OCD can make daily life feel overwhelming. We work with you to find the right treatment plan, whether that means medication, coordination with your therapist, looking for other health issues that can mimic anxiety, and/or utilization of other lifestyle tools.

ADHD and Focus

Attention and focus challenges look different in children than in adults. Dr. T has fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry and treats ADHD across all ages with careful evaluation and individualized care.

What to Expect

Your first visit is a conversation, not a test. Dr. T will review your history, ask about what's been going on, and take the time to understand your situation before recommending a treatment plan.

His approach to medication is careful and measured: the right medication at the right dose, with careful monitoring over time. The goal of your first appointment is to clarify what is going on diagnostically, clarify what the appropriate individualized treatment strategy is and why, and to give a clearer picture of the next steps.

If you're nervous about seeing a psychiatrist for the first time, that's completely normal. We're here to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible.

Payment

We are a private-pay practice. We provide itemized invoices so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance company. Visit our Payment & Fees page for details, or call us at (561) 630-8530 with questions.

Telehealth

After your first in-office visit, telehealth appointments are available for Florida residents. If getting to our office is difficult, or you prefer the convenience of a video visit, we can help. Learn more on our Telehealth page.
