Telehealth
After your first in-office visit, you can see Marshall Teitelbaum, M.D., from home through a secure video call. You get the same quality psychiatric care as an in-person visit, without the drive. It's especially helpful if you have a busy schedule, limited mobility, or simply prefer the convenience of connecting from your own space.
How It Works
- Schedule your appointment. Call our office at (561) 630-8530 and let us know you'd like a telehealth visit.
- Complete your forms. If you're a new patient, fill out your intake forms on our Forms page before your appointment.
- Connect. Ten minutes before your appointment time, go to join.zoom.us in your browser and enter your Meeting ID. Use any device with a camera and microphone. Find a quiet, private space where you can speak freely.
- Meet with Dr. T. The appointment itself is the same as an in-person visit. Dr. T will talk with you, review your progress, and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
Who Can Use Telehealth
Telehealth appointments are available to patients located in the state of Florida. Your first appointment is in our office so Dr. T can meet you in person. After that initial visit, you may choose telehealth for follow-up appointments. An in-office visit is required at least every six months.
Both adults and children/adolescents can use telehealth. For patients under 18, a parent or guardian must be available during the session to participate in clinical decisions. This does not necessarily mean being present for the entire visit.
Medication management, including controlled substances when clinically appropriate, can be part of your telehealth visits. Some medications may require an in-person visit depending on your situation and current regulations. Call our office at (561) 630-8530 with questions about what can be addressed via telehealth.
What You Need
You'll need three things for a telehealth appointment:
A device with a camera and microphone
A smartphone, tablet, or computer all work. Make sure your camera and microphone are enabled before the appointment.
A stable internet connection
Video calls require a reliable connection. If your internet is spotty, try moving closer to your router or switching to a wired connection.
A private space
Find a room where you can talk without being overheard or interrupted. Telehealth works best when you feel comfortable speaking openly.
You may also need to download Zoom before your first visit.
