Payment & Fees
Marshall Teitelbaum, M.D., operates a private-pay practice. We do not accept or bill insurance directly.
Fees are set by service type. Your initial psychiatric evaluation and follow-up appointments are billed at different rates. Fees are communicated through your intake paperwork so you know what to expect before your first visit. If you have questions about costs, call our office at (561) 630-8530.
Payment is due at the time of service.
New Patient Deposit
When you schedule your first appointment, a deposit is collected by our office staff. This deposit is applied directly to your appointment fee, so it is not an additional charge.
If you need to cancel, please give us at least two business days notice. New patients who cancel with at least two business days notice will have their deposit refunded.
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
We do not participate in insurance networks, but many patients have out-of-network mental health benefits that may cover part of their costs.
Here is how it works. You pay for your visit at the time of service. After your appointment, we provide you with an itemized invoice that includes the diagnosis and procedure codes your insurance company needs to process a claim. You submit the invoice to your insurer and request reimbursement under your out-of-network benefits.
Coverage amounts vary by plan. Before your first visit, we recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Ask them: "What are my out-of-network benefits for outpatient psychiatric care?" That one question can save you a lot of guesswork.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before a scheduled service. You can request one by calling our office at (561) 630-8530.
Payment Methods
We accept credit cards, cash, checks, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
